Safe to buy XDJRX now? What are your thoughts?

I know this is going to rely on speculation and predictions, but i am on the brink of ordering an XdjRx, but i am slightly reluctant, given that the XDj1000s have recently seen an upgrade to the Mk 2's, after a fairly short increment following the initial release of the Mk 1's. I was originally undecided between the RX, and getting 2 Xdj1000s, but the release of the Mk 2s has made up my mind for me. I would love the Mk 2s but it has out priced me at over £1000 each. I just can't justify spending the best of 3 thousand pounds on a new setup (including a mixer). The predicament i am in now though, is if i buy the RX, is pioneer going to suddenly release the news that a new RX system is on the cards, with either larger jog wheels, or a screen for each deck rather than a communal screen above the mixer, or a 4 channel version (i would be less bothered by the 4 channel option, but the larger jogs and separate screens would be massively appealing to me) Its the age old predicament, like when you buy a new Mac, you are nervously awaiting the arrival of a new higher spec model which would make you regret not waiting. What do you guys predict for this in the near future? Im not so sure that they will release an updated model with larger jogs, for obvious portability reasons, but i think a dual screen model is a likely addition, and i would be seriously disappointed to have missed out on that. Conversely, i could decide to wait for the next edition, and end up waiting for years for something which may not even have the features that i would be expecting. As i said, I'm sure nobody on here has any inside info, as i imagine that pioneer keep any info pre release under tight wraps, but any advice, or educated speculation would definitely alleviate my apprehension and maybe prompt me to finally take the plunge.

Thanks in advance!!

You could sit and wait a long time.  I thought the same thing a couple of weeks back but went and bought one on Saturday.

You wont be disappointed.

plus, if they do bring out a new one, it will be more expensive, in the same way the 1000 mk2s are

Are you still waiting Andrew?

I have been waiting and will be waiting for the new version which I'm sure will be released - I'm predicting it is a matter of a few months.

One thing puts me off the XDJ models is issues with reading/analyzing files. I had before XDJ-Aero and it was a nightmare to play unanalized tracks. It was crashing during events. When reading this forum I see Pioneer still hasn't fixed the issues - past 3 years. I have switched to DDJ-SX controlling traktor and no issues with files analysis, although I don't like using laptops.

I will wait for the improved XDJ-RX 2 which hopefully will have more PRO look - larger jog wheels and all Sound Colour effects that you can find on DJM-900.Also it should be touch screen for improved and quicker searching.

It is advantage of having one screen as the unit is cheaper, and you see both waves next to each other.
