It would require a ground-up rewriting of the data management system.
I asked about this on day 1 of rekordbox testing years ago and nothing has changed.
Sorry!
Here's a question and a suggestion for Pulse and the RB engineers.
Why doesn't Rekordbox store the analysis data (waveform, hot cues, etc) in the mp3 file itself like Serato? RB seems to use the DB and a bunch of files and directories to store waveform data, hot cues and library info. All in different places and different files.
I'm part of a few records pools and all the mp3s have the serato waveform built in as well as a few standard cues.
It would be nice if RB adopted this too and so moving a few MP3s to another drive would allow one to just 'plug and play' a USB stick into someone else's laptop and 'go'.
By allowing this data in the file and providing an analysis tool (lite version of RB) to record pools, producers, etc. people can buy their music with this info embedded and therefore increase market cap.
Thoughts?
