Flight cases, CDJ & DJM

I was wondering, is it recommended for CDJ2000 & DJM 900 to be in the flight cases during performance? I never take mine out, and I am beginning to wonder if they need to "breath" and if I am doing something that may shorten their life as it were.

Depends on the flight case. I have a set of Odyssey Black Label cases that have a ventilation gap underneath. It keeps my CDJs and DJM nice and cool.

If your flight case has your gear sitting flush to the case with no air gap, you should take them out of the case and set them on top of the closed case.
