DDJ-SB not connecting to Rekordbox

Before people starting asking the usual questions:

Yes I have Rekordbox downloaded.

Yes I installed the right driver for my controller.

I plugged in my SB after I installed the driver and it's not working

Hello Andrew,

Please check the driver and firmware versions in the way shown below.

From Start menu > Pioneer > DDJ-SB, open "DDJ_SB2 Version Display Utility" and check the versions of driver and firmware shown there.

If they are not shown, you may have failed in installing them.

Please download and install the right ones for your computer from the link below.

Make sure to read the Update Instructions in the page, too.

Hi, i have the same. New and quite expensive laptop,Dell... I've had a DDJ SB in the paste and it worked fine (other laptop). Now i have another DDJ SB and with the serato software everything is working. But i want to play with recordbox. Installed the software the correct driverts etc... but still no functionallity on the controller. I can not scroll through tracks ... only a few buttons are working on the controller. Like Hot cue, auto loop, manual loop,...FX buttons all the rest no response...

Please can you help me with this ?

Click on My Page on the top right of rekordbox. You have to have rekordbox Core which is $10/month to use the DDJ-SB controller. There's also a free 30 day trial.

Thanks Jared, this was it, this is kinda ridiculous that I should pay 10€ a month just to use the controller, this is a cheap controller, who would do that? In less than a year I'll have paid more just to use the controller than the price it cost me..
