Hello all, forgive me if this is covered elsewhere in detail but i cannot find a solution anywhere.
I just bought a Kontrol Z1 midi controller/soundcard to have as a portable DJ solution. I have no interest in using with Traktor, as all my music is sorted in RekordBox. I am running El Capitan on a macbook pro.
Trying to get the Z1 to work with Rekodbox correctly is proving almost impossible. Main issues are Rekordbox not having specific functions that i can add into the midi mapping table to map certain knobs on the Z1 like Filter (Low to Hi pass).
Also there are no LED mappings so i cannot use the LED level indicators, and all buttons such as CUE require a number of presses to turn on or off, not simply on=1 off =0.
The Kontrol Z1 performs fine in Traktor and as expected, so i know its not faulty.
If any knows of a workaround or some sort of 3rd party software, or any tips i'd be very appreciative.

I've had no issues in mapping an X1 and F1; you may have to open the NI Controller Editor and make the appropriate changes within.
Pioneer DJ does not produce these products and therefore and difference in performance or function is up to the user to adjust in order to use it with Pioneer DJ software.

It happens to me. Same situation in xonek2.
To solve the problem of keys ...
In learn mode, press key, and without releasing it, deactivate learn.
For leds duplicate order and map same order without blocking.
Also needed for pads
- The buttons send two midi messages, when pressing and releasing.
I think rekordbox midi mapping is designed for your products only.
There is also another problem, since there is no option to map the fast forward, it is not possible to map in an encoder !!!!
All this causes, that you do not buy your software at the moment, including DVS.
As you would like to use with rekordox my two xone and a8.
But, I will have to continue with traktor ...
I hope, Pioneer Dj, reconsider, if you want to compete with the other two platforms.
Here in Spain, by pages and forums, there is not much talk about rekorbox.
Although cdj's users, we are looking forward to using only this software with our midi devices.
