Link 2 Cdj's 2000 Usb link to recordbox

I linked 2 Cdj's 2000 with an USB Cable each to a Usb Hub then  to my computer, as i follow in a tutorial.

Not working :

- Recordbox 4.2.4 can't recognize them both, nothing appear at the Midi section and no response,

- The Cdj's are still making the Midi connection

Does anybody know the solution please ?

Thanks

Lou Geny

Do You use the DJ Plus Pack or the External Mode??

In the External Mode you Need a Ethernet Cable and a Switch...

Hi, I got only Recordbox Dj (performance) so i guess external not dvs or plus or video.

So it's means that i need to pick up 2 Ethernet Cables for the CDJs and an Ethernet Switch ?

I could not get RBDJ to work in 'Performance' mode using RBDJ 4.2.4.and gave up.

... but then this weekend someone showed me how to connect my MacBook running RBDJ (export mode) to drag and drop tracks within RB onto the CDJ2000's using RBLink.

Worked perfectly 99% of the time.

It does however require.

  1. Do not open RBDJ (important - close the program and restart the laptop if it was open before you started connecting your Laptop to the LAN Hub)
  2. Connect CDJs to a powered LAN Hub using Ethernet cables
  3. Connect Laptop to LAN Hub using Ethernet cables
  4. Check Ethernet cable going into Laptop is connected and showing a signal (look within Netwok settings, Ethernet connection status should show a Green or Yellow light on a Mac)

ONLY once you have the Ethernet showing connected do the following:

  1. Open RBDJ software (and select Export mode)
  2. Accept the various connection messages that pop up as the Laptop recognises the RB software
  3. You should now see the LINK button in the bottom left corner of RB screen
  4. Hit the 'LINK' button and accept the various connection messages that pop up again as the Laptop recognises the CDJ connections
  5. Should now see the virtual CDJs listed at the bottom of RB
  6. Drag and drop tracks onto the virtual CDJs and they will appear on the real CDJs
  7. Start playing as usual (inc, loops/hot cue setting etc).

All worked well for me this weekend over four days (8 x 2 hour sets).

No problem, enjoy.

Think I will make a video for this (can't believe that Pioneer do not have one already) and post on YouTube, as I could not find anything close and had given up on RBDJ.
