Not possible to keyboard or MIDI map the deck's "unload" (eject) function

This thread shows us where "unload" is --> http://bit.ly/2hgSHkF
Thanks, but please let us map this
Using the mouse for things is impractical and slow.

I'm a working DJ with over 20 years experience, and 17 years of support experience. I find asking questions is the best way to get answers, and in this case, I'm curious as to why you need / want that functionality when there are tens of thousands of other users who are not asking for this feature.

I find your method adds an unnecessary extra step in having to unload a deck before loading it, but I also understand that this helps you to visually identify which deck is available "next."

I don't make the software, or choose which functions are available vs. others, but I can certainly pass along your request.

Can I ask what the importance is of having the ability to "unload" a deck?

Assuming that you represent the company that makes the software, your question is pretty frustrating, if not antagonistic.

I assume that since you included it as a feature, you must understand the importance.

The answer for me is mostly visual feedback; when I look at the decks on the screen, I know that the empty deck is the one that I can safely load the next song to.

In the absence of an "undo load" function on the software, another glaring omission, I would like to avoid this kind of mistake of loading the wrong deck.

I'm aware of deck lock, but it's an impractical feature that does not fit my workflow. I also find Commands that work depending on whether or not a certain variable is been selected from some menu are frustrating.

It's also about workflow and efficiency of movement. I don't like pressing stop to stop a song playing. My stop button is mapped far away from my load buttons. I want it to disappear. Because i'm finished with it for the moment in that set.

Since we're asking questions, can I ask for an explanation of why you would prevent the mapping of some features in a seemingly arbitrary way? Or for that matter why you would prevent the mapping of any feature?

Presumably the goal or including features for the user to make use of them. The mouse is an extremely cumbersome impractical, imprecise, and non-ergonomic way to do things, especially when performing.

Allowing mapping some features but not others is pretty frustrating.
