Help please! DDJ-RX moving the job wheel through a track and auto play

Hey up guys. I'm pretty new to Rekord Box and my DDJ-RX controller. I have recently moved from Traktor.

There are a few simple things I'm trying to get my head around but I've had no luck searching around on Google.

Can anyone help with the following please:

  1. Simply moving the jog wheel to set my cue point and every time I let go of the jog wheel it jumps right to the beginning of the track.

  2. Secondly, is there any way I can stop the track auto-playing when I load it into a deck?

I very much appreciate any help. I want to try and get this controller out to my gigs as soon as. These two points above are being a pain.

@Travis > Congrats on the RX!

1) Yeah, that's normal - if you want to get around that, either hit play/pause twice (putting the deck in "pause" mode), or go into the options and toggle this checkbox (below).

2) Yes, enable AUTO CUE, also in the settings:
