Technics 1210 - XDJ R1 sound issue

 My XDJ R1 works fine. My Technic 1210 deck through a mixer works fine.

However, when I connect the deck directly to the R1 through the phono input, the sound from the deck only comes out of one speaker.

I have tried putting it through line, aux and even running it through my mixer before it gets to the R1 but no luck.

Can you help please, as I would love to mix my vinyl with the choons on my usb.
