Rekordbox: loaded track shows but cannot press play button...

3) rekordbox version: just updated to v 5.2.0

I had v. 5.1.1 and suddenly when I was changing tracks, the waveform on both decks (i.e. performance mode) changed to a much more zoomed in format (I normally have max zoom out). Then, I could not play the tracks in deck 1 or 2. I pressed play in laptop as well as on the DDJ-RR. I then restarted Rekordbox, which then requested me to update to 5.2.0, which I did. When I just click once on any track it now starts to play in my headphones (to the DDJ-RR). The "workaround" is to switch to export mode and then back to performance mode. Then my zoomed out waveform appears on deck 1 again and I can play deck 1 - but not deck 2. I can occasionally play a track once in deck 1 but then the same issue takes place.
Have I inadvertedly mixed up some setting or something?
Please help.
