weird sound via rekordbox but not with vDJ

have weird sound problems with rekordbox since a today, never had it before(have rekordbox for 2 weeks, still on free trial).

here are my settings:

DJ-gear used: pioneeer DJ-SB2

it worked before so don't know why it is like this right now?

WASAPI (Windows Audio System API) is only capable of handling one stereo pair of audio outputs, whereas ASIO (Audio Stream Input Output) can handle multiple pairs of ins/outs. Typically ASIO devices / drivers also feature lower latency rates.

For devices like the SB2, you have 2 pairs of outputs; the master, and the headphones. If you use the WASAPI drivers, you'll only be able to output to the first pair - the master, thus rendering the headphones useless.

Well, for starters, you're using the wrong device - you should be using the DDJ-SB2 ASIO device. Give that a try first.

wow, thank you for the hint, didn't know that :o although I thought i already tried everything.

virtual DJ is using DDJ-SB2(WASAPI) so couldn't tell the difference.

Were you able to switch it to ASIO and did that work better?

Why nog using wasapi if i may ask? Don't know what It exactly means, buy it works i guess?
