Sync & snapping to the beat quantize issues....

Hi again,

Just saw there was a new update 1.30, installed it...

All the issues in my original (link in the above post) & this post are still there? No snapping to the beat for hot loops assigned to hot cue/ loop pads with quantize beat value set to 1 beat (It still can be fired off rapidly like the quantize is off or set to 1/8 off a beat, now it does a horrible catch up, cause it is being dragged into sync with the track on the other deck, unless you are millisecond accurate, totally unusable) & both hot cues/loops assigned to hot cue/loop pads with the beat sync & quantize on, loosing sync when triggered again? the sync light starts flashing cause it is out of sync.....All of the quantize beat values 1/8 to 1 beat & beat sync settings need to be checked and fixed...

Rekordbox software in performance mode does all of these that I mentioned correctly, so why not on this expensive dj unit? I want to love this XDJ RX2 but it sadly is unusable, for anything other than simple manual beat matching... nothing fast & creative, the whole reason I got this unit...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thought i would be proactive & detail my exact findings in the hope they can all be fixed in a software update....

Both tracks same bpm, all perfectly beat gridded in Rekordbox and tested perfectly in sync in Rekordbox performance mode. Tested with loads of different tracks...even duplicates of the same track. All mp3's on usb flash drive in the XDJ-RX2, tried 3 different ones...

1. Cue points assigned to the 8 hot cue/loop pads

(Beat Sync turned off - Quantize turned on)

Quantize beat value - 1 beat (Quantize is 1 beat but drifts out more each time you retrigger pad)

Quantize beat value - 1/2 beat (Quantize is 1/2 beat but drifts out more each time you retrigger pad)

Quantize beat value - 1/4 beat (Quantize is 1/4 beat but drifts out more each time you retrigger pad)

Quantize beat value - 1/8 beat (Quantize is 1/8 beat but drifts out more each time you retrigger pad)

2. Loops assigned to the 8 hot cue/loop pads

(Beat Sync turned off - Quantize turned on)

Quantize beat value - 1 beat (no quantize value on it, it is behaving as though it is set to 1/8 beat & drifts out each retrigger)

Quantize beat value - 1/2 beat (quantize is 1/2 beat but drifts out more each time you retrigger pad)

Quantize beat value - 1/4 beat (quantize is 1/4 beat but drifts out more each time you retrigger pad)

Quantize beat value - 1/8 beat (quantize is 1/8 beat but drifts out more each time you retrigger pad)

And now with beat sync, sync button switched on

1. Cue points assigned to the 8 hot cue/loop pads

(Beat Sync turned on - Quantize turned on)

Quantize beat value - 1 beat (Quantize is 1 beat works absolutely perfect, stays totally locked in sync, every time pad is re hit, this is how they all should be)

Quantize beat value - 1/2 beat (Quantize is 1/2 beat but loses sync more each time you retrigger pad, sync light starts flashing - out of sync)

Quantize beat value - 1/4 beat (Quantize is 1/4 beat but loses sync more each time you retrigger pad, sync light starts flashing - out of sync)

Quantize beat value - 1/8 beat (Quantize is 1/2 beat but loses sync more each time you retrigger pad, sync light starts flashing - out of sync)

2. Loops assigned to the 8 hot cue/loop pads

(Beat Sync turned on - Quantize turned on)

Quantize beat value - 1 beat (no quantize on it behaving as if it is set to 1/8 beat, does awful catch up thing, dragging loop back in sync, sounds awful, unusable but when in sync stays locked tight, sync light on constant not flashing)

Quantize beat value - 1/2 beat (Quantize is 1/2 beat but loses sync more each time you retrigger pad, sync light starts flashing - out of sync)

Quantize beat value - 1/4 beat (Quantize is 1/4 beat but loses sync more each time you retrigger pad, sync light starts flashing - out of sync)

Quantize beat value - 1/8 beat (Quantize is 1/8 beat but loses sync more each time you retrigger pad, sync light starts flashing - out of sync)

If these are all fixed it will be the ultimate creative DJ system... not just a manual beat mixing one...

Any news regarding all of these issues & if they can or will be fixed via software updates? Or maybe I have a faulty XDJ-RX2?

I have the same problem with XDJ-RX2, the sync funcion doesn't work properly and can't beatmatch.. can you give us an update about this?
