Related tracks still not working. Can i go back to 5.0?

Since, i think RB 5.1 the related tracks function, which i love dearly, doesn't behave like i believe it should. I just use the History tab to show 3 before and after tracks. But now i have to search inside a huge list, which contains I don't know what. I'm a professional DJ for more than 20 years and the function has been on my wishlist for most of these years. While DJ-ing I make these awesome discoveries of matching tracks. Not because of key or tempo but things that just seem to fall into place. I tend to forget many of these gems of mixes but with this feature RB reminds me. At least, up until 5.0 it did. Please get this feature back. And for now can anyone help me to get RB back to 5.0?

kind regards,

Rob

Rob,

I think I have the solution for you, related tracks have changed significantly.

Before you had a window to the right on your screen, where the related tracks showed up (and a gear icon for settings).

It is still there but now for the changes:

You need to create a “related tracks profile” it is done by right clicking on the related tracks bar on the left side of the screen (a plus icon shows), where you find collection, playlists etc.

Now create a “related track profile” to your liking.

When the profile is created, you can select that or other you created in the window to the right where tags info etc. are. Clicking on the link icon not the gear icon. Select the profile you want (from the popup), and you are good to go.

Remember the related tracks only shows up first time in the window when a is track is played.

It is still there but the usage is different, it took some time to figure it out

I hope it solved your problem.

Best Regards

Michael

Hi Michael,

thanks for your response. I did not know about needing to create a profile. The idea is pretty good. But nonetheless, it is not working. Nothing really changed. It seems that i already had a profile called “related tracks”. Creating a new one, with in the setting only the History tab checked, and set to 3 before and 3 after doesn't make a difference. It still gives me that humungous list of tracks. Containing many tracks that i am quite sure don’t ‘relate’ to any of my history sets. I don’t know what you mean with: "Remember the related tracks only shows up first time in the window when a is track is played.” So i don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
