RB-DMX1 External Mixer Fix Timeline

I wanted to inquire as to when we can expect the firmware/software fix (or temporary work around) for the RB-DMX1 + external mixer issue for us NXS2 system users who are unable utilize Lighting/Performance Mode? I want to be able to stop using my RB-DMX1 as something other than a rather pricey paper weight. :-)
