Database SNAFU

So I was moving my database from one computer to another. I took all the data from user>library>Pioneer and moved it to the new one, and while most everything was OK, almost none of my artwork was showing up no matter what kind of refreshes, etc. that I did. Then I tried to move things back and ended up with no database on either computer.

I do have a USB with everything in there, and saw somewhere how I could move it over and recoup my library from there. In the event that does not work as needed or isn't complete enough (there's a lot of info that wasn't on there too), is there a way to restore from an old time machine back up? Like I said before, backing up from user>library>pioneer seemed to do the trick most of the way, but almost all my artwork was gone. Any ideas on why that happened? is that info stored somewhere else, or did I muck it up by manually copying it over instead of using the database transfer through RB? Any help would be super appreciated.

Yeah, you dun gon messed up!

First of all, simply moving the files themselves is not recommended as the paths get broken for the referenced artwork / waveforms. This is why we suggest using the library > backup and library > restore processes, or migrating to an external drive, in order to move to a new computer.

I'm not sure what you did in order to lose the database after "restoring" it to the first computer.

Yes, your Time Machine should be able to recover your database to a point before your first migration. Start by rolling back to see if that resolves the issue.
