So many bugs with DDJ-SX3!! Do not buy yet!

I just purchased 4 DDJ-SX3 controllers a couple of weeks ago for myself and my DJ team and out of the 4 I purchased, so far 2 of them have had some major issues.  Here is what I've experienced with the two controllers so far:

-Headphone cue lights stop working for no apparent reason

-Volume levels increase and decrease on its own

-Headphone cue button suddenly causes one of the songs to restart to the beginning of the song.  Almost acting as if it was a cue point button

-All of the lights on the controller would shut off but the music would keep playing

-Music becomes extremely distorted, making the speakers sound like they're blown.

-Song start jumping to different parts of the song automatically without me even touching anything.

-Song would restart to the beginning of the song by itself.

 

This starts to happen about an hour or so into the set.  I'm using Macbook Pros with either Sierra or High Sierra, newer models, with and without Touch bars on them.  I'm going to assume that it's more of a firmware update issue I hope.  The odds of me getting not one but two defective units seems very odd to me.  In any case, I've shipped one back to Pioneer already and waiting for my replacement.  I'm going to send back my second one also just to be on the safe side to see if maybe I somehow did end up with two defective ones.  I'll keep you all posted but I would definitely wait for a while before you decide to buy a DDJ-SX3 until they can work out all the bugs.

I called tech support but unfortunately I never got her name. She told me she has not received any phone calls or tech support issues related to the DDJ-SX3 regarding this type of problem.  She never gave me a ticket number either.  So I already shipped back one of the two controllers that is having problems.  The issue now is that I was told that Pioneer is out of stock of the DDJ SX3 and they are on back order.  Luckily I still have my DDJ-SX that I can use.  I just want you guys to resolve these bugs with the controllers before I get a new one shipped to me.  I guess I don't really mind having to wait for a replacement controller so as long as I know the problems and bugs are fixed.  The odds of me getting not one but TWO defective controllers with similar issues seems very odd to me so I'm really thinking it must be a firmware issue?  If you have any additional details or tech issues in your guys log somewhere please let me know.

I'm not sure, but we do have our DDJ team investigating a couple of other complaints. The issue could be hardware or firmware, as some users are reporting it happens without a computer (which would rule out the connection and software).

I am almost sure (I would say 99% sure) it's either a firmware issue or a hardware issue with the controller.  I don't think it's related with Serato, the USB cables or my Macbook Pro. The fact that this problem happened on two different DDJ-SX3 controllers, on two different computers, using two different OS on each tells me it has to be a hardware issue with the controller or firmware.  The only thing I could think of is having an issue with Serato DJ Pro 2.0.3 which was being used on both computers.  That's the only factor that is the same with regards to software.

Things like the sound suddenly getting distorted, volume levels changing on their own and the lights shutting off and not working properly on the controller tells me that it has to be a hardware or firmware issue. I could be wrong but if I were to guess, this would be my guess.

This Phenomen that the Music becomes extremely distorted, making the speakers sound like they're blown, i allready have also. After making a hardreset on my DDJ-SX3 it was away and going normal, but in the Club that should not happen, because this sound is extremely disturbing and there is no time to make a hardreset. Please Pioneer improve this, because so the DDJ-SX3 is not ready to use. Thank you!

I tried creating an inquiry but this link you provided is for Rekordbox issues.  I'm not using Rekordbox.  My issue is with a DDJ-SX3 using Serato.

I just bought an sx3 as well I took it to work everything was good until 2hrs in I experienced 1 shut down like it lost power I shut the power button off and on and the controller turned back on and an hr later all the lights shut off but music still played and all the buttons where still active, I took a short video when this happened.
