What is the make / model of the USB drive you're using with the XDJ-1000MK2?
This happened twice in one set and I stopped searching after that. So, after trying to search for a song by long pressing the browse button, the usb stick shows up missing. No songs or playlists available although the light around the stick still changes colors. The 2 decks are connected and it happened on both the deck with the stick and also with the other deck via link. The only fix was to unplug and replug the usb stick. Is this a known bug? All songs were prepared and analyzed in Rekord box and exported from there. Can't gig with these if I can't search!
Any help Pioneer?

Samsung 32GB BAR (METAL) USB 3.0 Flash Drive (MUF-32BA/AM)
@Andrew > Sadly, while stylish, reviews and tests don't point to that drive being very high performance unit. My first recommendation would be to test the same tracks exported to another USB drive to see if that points to the issue.
What is the best usb stick I can get that is reliable?
There are only 2 that I recommend (that I have personally tested and find to be extremely reliable):
- Corsair Voyager GTX
- SanDisk Extreme Pro USB3.1
If you're wanting to move to a larger SSD, consider the Samsung T3 and T5 drives - they're amazing.
Ok, this is great. Thank you! One other question, since a 500gb SSD doesn't cost much more than the recommended sticks, is it ok to have a large collection like 100+ gb of music on a drive? You can only search on the XDJ with tracks that have been transferred from Rekordbox correct? That said, do things slow down or glitch in any way if you load that much music onto Rekordbox and then onto dj drive?
Personally, I store my entire (500GB+) collection on a T5. My database and all the music are located there, and I "export" the contents of my collection to that device as well (this process simply creates an export database, linking the files to their location on the drive).
I've never had any issue with the performance reading the drive or loading songs. The older XDJ-RX would slow down with libraries over a certain size, but newer models of most products can handle virtually any size library without much issue.
Thanks for recommending the Samsung T5 drive. It's by far the best USB storage device I've used with my XDJ-1000mk2 decks. Super fast and never has any issues.
Thanks again!
Awesome! Yeah, I absolutely love it - well worth the cost for the size and performance. Enjoy. :)
