Pioneer DDJ 1000 headphone electrical noise

Hi all, 

Just checking out the threads on this since I have the issue and it comes and goes. 

Firstly, it's rather annoying that the threads are being closed on here. Open tickets are irrelevant. We are all Pioneer DJ customers and you should not forget that. 

So, I have confirmation from Keiko that some early production units are affected but Pioneer DJ do not know the serial number run of  the affected  DDJ- 1000 units, so they cannot be identified. Therefore anyone with this problem cannot exchange the unit for another since a replacement may have the same problem.

SQH19004 is the internal reference I got for the problem.

My main gripe is that we are supposed to cover the return to a service centre to get this issue fixed. This isn't on. 

I don't have the time to run my unit up to London (my nearest service centre), then return to pick it up when it has been repaired. I'm sure there are others further afield who have the same problem.

So the only other option is to courier the unit to a repair centre? For the size and insurance cost of the unit, I'd not expect this to be cheap. Either way, I'm probably going to be £50 out of pocket.

How is this acceptable? 

Can we get some comment and perhaps some better support?

For a product in warranty, with a manufacture defect, which may or may not be a big deal - (to some guys on here, it is) - the customer support is not really up to the standards of some other companies.

As you may be aware, the Pioneer DJ support network is decentralized, meaning each region provides their own support, with escalated issues going to Japan. The forums are not intended for you to obtain in-depth technical support. While we do what we can to assist with most support issues, where additional assistance is needed or 1:1 communication (with or without exchange of customer information), we direct users to tickets.

Each region will have different policies regarding repairs - timing, shipping, etc., and I encourage you to discuss that with the support staff in your ticket or phone conversation. We don't have any capacity to address those issues here in the forums.

I'm sorry about the issues you've experienced with your DDJ-1000 and support, but I do encourage you to report them to your existing support communications directly.
