1) Install the drivers.
2) Disable the High Sierra driver security.
3) Install the drivers AGAIN.
Then you'll be good to go.
I have just connected for the first time my DDJ1000 brand new straight out of the box.
Updated firmware
Installed audio driver
Clicked the allow button as I am running hi Sierra in the security setting in system preferences
DDJ1000 is recognized in Control Device information however is not selectable for audio output.
Following this I
Disconnected the hardware
Uninstalled the audio drivers
Repeated the process
This time no security warning and not button to click in system preferences and still not able to be selected in audio output yet is recognized as control device
Please help.

Thanks very much appreciate your response.
To clarify after following the directions every subsequent uninstall / reinstallation of the Audio driver resulted in an error message which was to the affect of "something went wrong" and even though the installation on the surface was a success for what ever reason the software was not installing correctly.
Unfortunately I feel it had to do with having the hardware connected to my laptop which I should have taken more care with reading the directions.
I have since resolved this.
My resolution however was to backup my hard drive and completely reformat my MacBook Pro. After doing this and reinstalling the OS & reinstalling Rekordbox I was able to have my DDJ1000 connect properly.
