When I have 2CDJ 2000nxs2 and a 900nxs2 mixer linked up I understand I will have “on air display” (CDJ flashing red when fader is up)
Will the “on air” player also automatically be the master player? Or is there a setting to do so? Or will it still be the case that the master player changes to be the other CDJ as soon as you stop the track thats playing on the deck thats currently the master?
Would like to hear how this works.
You can have multiple decks "on air" so that's not the deciding factor -- it's typically whichever is played first becomes the master, and if you have two decks playing and one stops, the other becomes the master. There are also factors surrounding the fader / crossfader position which can determine the master, but play around a bit and you'll start to get the hang of it. :)
