DDJ SZ2 Needle Search Problem

I have just downloaded the new software for the DDJ SZ2 and it worked fine the first couple nights I played with it but tonight when I played with it the needle search on one of the decks would just go completely crazy skipping through random parts of the song without anything touching it. I wiped it down and looked up how to deactivate it and it didn't work. It's important to note this only happens on one side not on both decks. Everything else on the controller is working fine. I desperately need this board to work for New Years and weekend events and right now it is not working. 

The SZ2 is 6 months old and been held in a steel case.

Would love all input on how to get the needle search either completely deactivated or just working again.
