XP1 Power Hungry when in a USB Hub?

So tonight was my first time using my new XP1 in a club, I’ve got the 2018 MacBook Pro with the USB3-C ports on it. As there is only one available port I’m of course using a Powered USB Hub for HID mode.

But when the XP1 was on, the CDJ2000’s kept “failing”, not completely disconnecting but the Jog indicator would stop moving and the pitch control wouldn’t work. Strange thing is the play button and a selection of other buttons still worked fine.

The only reason I can think of causing this is the XP1 being a bit greedy with the power consumption. I got the XP1 to replace my Traktor X1 controller which I never had an issue with (though it is smaller).

Anyone else had a similar issue? Or found a way to fix it? I’m almost thinking Pioneer should have made the XP1 powered too.
