Cue and Play Buttons not working

I have an XDJ RR set up and my play and cue buttons have stopped working.

 

The buttons light up and depress when touched, but they don't start or stop the track when touched (nothing happens).

 

I have to play tracks using the auto-loop button which is a little hack-y and not great all the time.

 

Is this a hardware, firmware, or software problem? The decks are ~1.5 years old.

Please try resetting the MIDI by opening rekordbox, clicking the MIDI button at top right, then click the DEFAULTS button. You will be prompted if you want to save your current configuration - if you have made any customizations, go ahead and save it, otherwise just go ahead and restore the defaults to see if that helps. If not, it may be a hardware issue , in that case please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region to have your DDJ inspected and/or serviced.
