It's entirely possible that it's a problem with the outputs -- which are you using? RCA? XLR? Are they all too low?
Last night I played in a club I know the sound very well. Tried the DDJ-1000 for the first time. The first thing I notised is the level of the volume of this controller.
It is very low!
The settings in Rekordbox Output level - headroom is in -3 db.
I had to gain volume on each channel up til the vu meters had 2 red lines. And vu meter in the master volume was all red and sometimes so loud it was clipping. But still the volume was not high enough compared to what I can do with DJM-900 and even my smaller controller DDJ-SR2.
Is there anything I can do to make it better?
I have talked to some other DJ's who have DDJ-1000, and they say that they don't have this problem at all.
Can it be that mine has a problem with the sound?

I'm using XLR.
Have not test it with RCA yet
If you can, please check with the RCA as well.
Will try this weekend. Or If I'm lucky, already got a new controller by tomorrow..
