I've had the DDJ-1000SRT for about two weeks, I observed it do this a few times right out of the box but I wrote it off as a fluke until it happened TWICE during a big gig over Labor Day weekend.
During performance it appeared to lose power for a second, or just restart suddenly. Only took 10-30 seconds for it to restart, but that was plenty of time for people to start booing and shit lol. I double checked that the power supply was firmly plugged in on both sides.
I've been using previous DDJ controllers for years and I've never seen this happen except once when I used an off-brand power cable that was not exactly the right voltage.
Does anyone have and info on this problem, before I'm forced to drive 1.5 hours to the nearest Guitar Center and initiate a return that will not arrive before this weekends gigs?

Have you been able to replicate this at a different power source Tried another surge protector or get a volt meter to verify the actual power it's accessing? It is either the power supply or the power coming in, if it happens on another source then returning it may be your best bet.
I'm going to plug it in directly in to a wall outlet at home and test it for a while today and see if I observe it happen again thanks. Is there any chance that this isn't a power issue at all but like a software or USB connectivity one?
I had this exact same thing happen to me at 2 gigs this past weekend at two different places. Each time the controller was plugged into a power strip - two different power strips (one was a dj friend - the other was mine). Not sure why it's doing this but I have only dj'd on this controller 3 times and this has happened twice. I can't have this happening every time I dj using this brand new controller. Is there a fix or should I look to return and replace this controller?
"Exact same thing" often isn't. Please provide as much detail as possible, preferably in your own post instead of piggybacking on another post.
