Vinyl mode won’t activate [XDJRX2]

When I activate the XDJ-RX2 the vinyl light comes on during the boot up - but as soon as it is finished booting the vinyl light on the left side turns off and cannot be activated (the “Sync” and “Master” buttons will also not activate). Vinyl mode on the right side works perfectly. I’ve tried restarting the controller and have updated to the latest firmware but it hasn’t worked.
