XDJ-RX2 > OSX > LINE OUT not working

I have updated the Firmware on the XDJ-RX2

I have Updated the Drivers 

I am connected via USB and see the XDJ-RX2 as an audio device

It doesn't seem like the USB connection from the XDJ will send the output signal to the Mac to be played out through the mac's line output.  Is this by design or is there a way to do this?  I just want to monitor my mix while playing off a Thumbdrive.  My alternative will be to physical swap RCA out connection to my speakers, but it would be nice to be able to send digital signal through the Mac and possibly record directly into Logic without having to transfer Recordings from Thumbdrive.
