Audio distortion in headphones DDJ 1000

Hi, 

So I purchased a DDJ 1000 fairly recently and it has started to do this thing randomly where the audio of the track I'm playing will get completely distorted but just in my headphones not the audio being output. I've tried using multiple of pairs of headphones but the same thing keeps happening. I have to close the program and restart it in order to get the sound to play normal again in my headphones. While it does temporarily fix the problem that can't really be my solution while playing a gig. Anyone know what the problem is/how to fix it?
