I just got my new DDJ-1000 SRT on Saturday but I am having an issue with it during the first time I set it up. As you can see in the video below, when I am playing on music on channel 1 and channel 2 like normal, the music will cut out on channel 2 if I turn the Headphones Mix Knob to the right on the Master. When I listen in my headphones to the cue on channel 2, there is a sound reduction and the music sounds very muffled as if a filter is being dramatically applied to the source.
This is extremely weird since the knob should only effect being able to cue on the master, like when you mix in your iems/headphones without a booth monitor. I have not midi mapped anything. The only thing I did was update the firmware to the newest build. Any help is appreciated as I need to determine if I have a defective unit.
I am running Mojave 10.4 on a 2018 Macbook Pro. On a side note, I do not experience this issue on my SZ2.
Go to the Serato DJ preferences > MIDI page, click the DDJ-1000SRT and un-check the "Allow hardware remapping" box at the top, then click the Restore Defaults button at the bottom to clear any existing MIDI maps. That should resolve the issue.
If not, please try updating the firmware.
