Does anyone know how to stop the DDJ400 from going into the standby light show? I followed the instructions in the manual where it states to press the button on the left pad, it doesn't explain when to press this? I have tried when the light show is active and it has no positive effect. I just want a way to disable these lights so that the unit switches off and doesn't go into the light show when i shutdown the laptop.
@Louis > The instructions on page 18 of the manual give the info you need:
Launch Utilities mode by pressing and holding SHIFT + PLAY on the left deck as you connect the USB cable.
Press PAD1 on the left deck to disable DEMO MODE.
Disconnect the USB cable, then reconnect it and that setting will have been saved.

Thanks so much for confirming this. I totally missed the bit in the manual at the very start explaining how to get the controller into the Utilities Mode.
