DJM-900SRT not connecting over USB to Windows 10 laptop

I have a windows 10 laptop with rekordbox. I use rekordbox successfully with a DDJ-1000 over USB.

I am trying to now connect the laptop to my DJM-900SRT to use DVS but I am getting nothing connection whatsoever. The USB light on the DJM doesn't show anything at all and nothing appears in the Device Manager (in the USB list or the Sound, Video etc list).

I installed the latest driver (v1.3) as suggested. I installed it, rebooted the PC. The driver appears in rekordbox but when I try and select it I get device not found error. 

I checked I had the latest firmware on the DJM-900SRT by starting it in update mode and it is the latest v1.13.

I then deleted the driver, restarted the PC, re-installed in, rebooted again, but had the same outcome.

This is very frustrating. Anybody any ideas?
