Hi,
Is it possible to get the great waveform with files that aren't analysed with Rekordbox like in others standalone mixers?
If not will be great to add it for people who plays with friends who come with an USB with tracks.
Thank you in advance

Hi there,
Like a lot of people I find it odd that the XDJ-RX2 doesn't load the waveform overview without analysing the files first in rekordbox.
The original CDJ-2000's load the waveform overview after all, without rekordbox, or having to play the file first.... For the RX2 to not do that seems like a step backwards. It was a fantastic feature!
There's a lot of value, ease of access, and fun in being able to add files to a USB on the fly, plug it in and play straight away with that visual representation of the track as a whole, without having to spend time analysing and organising things on a computer first. Sometimes its necessary even.
For example, I once dropped my USB at a gig I was booked to play at and spent a good amount of time trying to find it, to no avail. It had the analysed tracks with all the cue points set etc. Obviously without it I could not perform my set. Luckily a friend and fellow dj was also playing at the same gig. We frequently shared files to each other, so I called him about my problem and we were able to load all the tracks I was going to play from his computer, onto a spare USB he had, with no rekordbox, no analysis, no 'anything' and I was able to perform confidently because I could quickly use the files with enough information (the waveform overview) in front of me to do so.
Simply put, I would not have been able to perform, If I had to go home, get on the computer, reload a USB with the tracks and then go back to the gig.
I know that the waveform overview is not 100% necessary in all cases, but if you construct and play sets the way I, and many other probably do, it is a feature that is highly worthwhile.
Anyway, I recently purchased an XDJ-RX2, and I was very surprised to find that this feature was not included, and honestly I don't always want to use rekordbox, it can be a real pain in the A55 sometimes, many others agree.
Can we please request an update to the firmware that includes the automatic loading of the waveform overview on the XDJ-RX2 for files that are not analysed in rekordbox?
If not here, then where can I submit this request?
