DDJ-1000 cannot hear turntable on monitors

Hi everyone,

So I just bought a DDJ-1000 controller recently and overall I am really satisfied with the product, it's a huge step from my DDJ-RB.

I just have one small issue which I cannot fix : when I try to connect my record player to channel 3 or 4, I cannot hear its sound on my monitors.

I have a macbook pro connected to a NI Komplete Audio 6 soundcard, to which my monitors are connected. So the sound comes from the controller, goes through the computer and the external soundcard then to the monitors. This works without a problem when I mix from rekordbox on any channels, but when I connect my record player to the rear of the controller, I can only hear it on Cue through the headphones. The record player is an Audio Technica AT-LP-120. I did put the channel 3 on "phono/line", the rear is also set to phono and the record player's rear on phono too.

Through the headphones I can even apply sound colour, EQ, trim, everything works perfectly, I even see the volume level on channel 3 and on master too, channel 3 fader is on max, master volume is on max too (btw that knob does not control the volume for me) but no matter what I do there is no sound coming from the monitors.

I updated rekordbox, the firmware, the controller's software, but nothing helps...

I'd be glad to provide any further information or screenshots if required.

Thank you in advance for your help and have a lovely day,

Take care of yourself

Take the Komplete out of the equation and connect the monitors to your DDJ; does it work as expected then?
