Scratch position issue with DVS

I have an issue with DVS when scratching.
Im using Rekordbox 5x
DDJ SX2
1210

When I start scratching say the scracth position is pointing to the needle, while im cutting up and letting the track out and bringing it back I find that the position of the scratch moves from the needle to another position and then another position. This is so infuriating when youre doing cuts involving letting the track out here and there.

any suggestions?
