I'm going to say yes and no; the XP1/2 don't have transport controls, so you can manipulate some aspects, I would suggest that it's better for you to switch between decks on the XDJ-XZ and do the majority of the controls there, using the XP as the secondary.

Can I load track via usb on channel 1 and 2 while controlling 3 and 4 switching decks on the XZ? Shouldn’t be easier to create a midi mapping and adding transport controls on the pads on the XP
You could, but I've been DJing for 20 years and still haven't grown 2 additional hands! Using the shift button (double tap) on the XDJ-XZ switches between control layers for decks 1/3 and 2/4. That would honestly be just as functional for the transport controls as remapping a DDJ-XP.
