Rekordbox for Linux

As a developer, we all know that producing an application that works on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac) is no longer a technical difficulty. Many software can do it, and in particular Mixxx, which is the only alternative in the field of DJing on Linux, is one of them. In terms of DAW, Ardour does it too, we could cite more classically OpenOffice yet, and the list of cross-platform software is long! The question for Pioneer is only marketing and politics, not financial! If you are on Linux, you can only rely on Mixxx (open source). The software is very advanced, almost at the same level as commercial competitors (Rekordbox, Serato, VDJ...). The only difficulty is the controller mapping. You need to find "volunteers/developers" to map your controller to Mixxx, if it is not already mapped. But if you are a developer, you can produce the mapping and submit it to the community. The community is very responsive, and you can easily chat with the developers, which is not the case with commercial solutions. Since none of the commercial solutions are determined to offer a Linux solution, I encourage you to invest in Mixxx so that all controllers can be used. Obviously the first commercial publisher to offer a solution for Linux will win the game! Personally, if Pioneer offers a Linux solution, I would buy the Rekordbox solution. But if it's Serato, then I'd buy Serato! For now I'm at Numark, because controllers are better mapped for Mixxx. Finally, most Mixxx users (Linux, but also Windows and Mac) do not have a Pioneer controller, because they are less well mapped. And the number of Mixxx users is only increasing...
