Most of their cases have the foam around the platter, can you reposition it? I typically avoid having any foam press directly on the platter itself to avoid just what you're asking about.

I just got one of those soft Odyssey soft cases for the DDJ-1000. One concern I have is the constant pressure on the platter. The case itself has a snug fit so when I close the case there will be a decent amount of pressure on the platter.
Is this bad and will it prematurely wear out the sensitivity switch? or will it be fine if its stored this way for long periods of time.
Like if i kept it in there for 1 year (not that i ever would) would it cause any damage or premature wear and tear on the unit?
Thanks,
Mike
