DDJ 1000 - No filters on Master and on Analogue Channels

Good Evening 

I  purchased a DDJ 1000 , in general happy with Controller however i cant have the effects on the master ( sound goes off ) and also no effects when the channels are switched to line in - this is frustrating 

I am running rekord box 6 on latest Macbook 16inch with Mac OS Catalina 10.15.5 

Another thing is that i cant updated the DDJ 1000 to latest firmware 1.7 

Please help !
