Update: Reinstalled the DDJ drivers and used the device for about 3 (non consecutive) hours until I had this issue again. This time I was actually recording a set, outputting audio through Rekordbox and audio+video via OBS, with it capturing the audio through BlackHole and the master PC out feature. The Rekordbox output has the glitch. The OBS recording's audio doesn't... On video I can see the master leds on the DDJ dropping for a second (but not the channel leds). Any ideas?

SeguirDDJ-1000 sound cut issues
Been searching for a solution for this for a while but haven't come across it yet.
Not sure why, but every now and then when mixing, the sound from my DDJ-1000 just cuts out for a fraction of a second. Sometimes it is barely noticeable, sometimes it's slightly noticeable... The whole sound cuts (as in, I can see the master leds just blanking out for that small period, and rekordbox stops "spinning" the track). It happens randomly, I cannot reproduce or "force" the issue to happen. Sometimes the screens on the jogs reset when this happens, however this is even more rare.
I've tried bumping up my buffer size samples gradually up to about 20ms, but changing this setting doesn't seem to affect the issue in any way, nor does it make it occur less. I swapped out the original cable for a NEO d+ USB-C cable to connect the DDJ directly, but issues persist (my computer is a 2018 13' MacBook Pro, i5, 16GB ram). I also tried putting my computer fans on full speed when mixing, thinking it could be thermal throttling during this summer, and it still happens sometimes. I also tried simply not connecting my computer to my dock to remove possible variables. I have all my library on an external 7200rpm 3'5 WD Blue 1TB hard drive (connected via USB 3.0, formatted to HFS+), but I also tried creating a new one on the internal SSD and I've experienced the same issue with it. I tried it with the external hard drive both connected via a dock and through a USB-C hub when I unplugged the dock. I have BlackHole set up for streaming, for which I use the master PC out functionality, I tried with it on and off, and the same happens. I also tried swapping ports, had the issue occur when connected to both USB A and B ports in the DDJ. I also tried different ports on the computer, same issue...
Any ideas on why that may be the case? May it be for the buffer size? What buffer settings do you all use on your 1000's? Is my computer under powered for this? Rekordbox barely puts any stress on it...

Update 2:
I'm left wondering if this could be an electrical issue...? Might sound crazy, but here's the reasoning:
A few days back I couldn't really make any noise so I mixed with headphones only (monitors not connected to the RCA output), no sound drops. When listening back to the last recording where I had the issue, just before the sound goes back up I hear a signal noise as if you were reconnecting the cables. In addition to that I just tried mixing another hour with the monitors connected to my dock instead, and the master PC out on and audio being routed to the dock so I could listen - no issues
Any tips? Maybe RCA cable fault? Maybe a power adapter fault? I have everything connected to an APC Back-UPS 400, so I'm not really sure, the power source should be clean...
I know what it is in my case. Audio stops when Wi-fi connects to a network.
@tecaspt > I would first start by checking to see if you have any other tasks running in the background which may be causing a hiccup; open the activity monitor and watch for changes in other applications or processes around the time the audio issue occurs.
You're always best to have the audio device connected directly to the computer (no hub), but if you have any other USB devices connected that certainly could be a source to investigate as well.
Apologies for the late reply, but it's been a nightmare trying to log in here for some reason I've not yet understood.
Thanks for the tip, SIMON, but Wi-fi is always off, I only use wired connection. I do have Bluetooth on (however I always have bluetooth off on my DM-40BT's when mixing)
Pulse - I've tried with both my background apps on and off, same happens. I am not sure how I should check on the activity monitor when this happens. I can try mixing with the laptop lid open and rekordbox on the external monitor, but it happens so fast I'm not sure I'd be able to capture it... I've tried connecting in the ways I've described and I've had the issue with every single one of them. In the past couple of days I have tried connecting with the cable that comes in box directly to my dock as well, I've had the issue happen too.
On this clip I've managed to capture today you can hear what happens:

Around the 2 second mark you can hear the sound drop. Just before the 4 second mark you can hear the "interference". This is an unedited audio straight from Rekordbox's recording feature, I simply cut it in the part that matters.
I've had the exact same issues. Increased DDJ latency and that helped a little but after upgrading my OS the issue seemed to be resolved. Then I upgraded again to Mojave and it broke again.. just reinstalled blackhole hoping it'll help to get on the latest version.
@tecaspt > Please try increasing the audio buffer size, and you can also try disabling the Intel Turbo Boost function with this tool. The audio drop-out certainly could be caused by other applications or tasks running - you can run the Activity Monitor in the foreground to keep an eye on other processes that are possibly spiking the CPU or RAM usage.
