I received my DDJ-400 today and set it up in accordance with the small tutorial that comes with Rekordbox dj, loaded a track, plugged in my headphones, hit play, and nothing.
I tried setting up my audio outputs as suggested in another post but still no sound through my headphones.
On a whim, I launched VirtualDJ, loaded a track, and sound came through my headphones the first time, no changes to the settings, no nothing.
Any suggestions?

After further searching, I found the answer to my question in another post:
"Have you pressed the headphone cue button on the channel or master? Do you have the cue mix knob set to a position where the audio source you've selected will be sent to the headphones? Is the volume up for the headphones?"
It's too bad that this instruction isn't included in the starter tutorial in Rekordbox dj.
