DDJ 1000 & Rekordbox 6 Free / Core Plans

I'm considering moving over from Traktor and I am looking to buy a DDJ 1000. Can someone explain to me if the DDJ 1000 will "unlock" the Rekordbox Core Plan for free or will I need to pay monthly for Core features?

The DDJ-1000 does not unlock the core plan, it unlocks the ability to use the controller with the software. DVS is supported by the DDJ-1000 hardware, but requires the core or creative plan to unlock it. If you have no plans on using DVS, you don't need to pay for the core plan.
