cdj-400 driver issue

Hi

I last used my decks about 3 months ago and they worked fine with traktor. I used them at the weekend but windows doesn't seem to understand what they are anymore. I've updated the firmware and drivers but they show up device manager as USB Composite device with an error tag. after reconnecting them a few times they did switch to usb audio device which worked until the next time I switched them on and they went back to the composite device. One of them did eventually install as cdj-400 and cdj-400 midi but this only happened once and they are both back to usb composite device again.

Running cdjxdj version utility shows both devices as connected.

traktor says cdjxdj asio not connected

Is there an issue with the drivers and one of the windows updates? as that's the only part of my setup that has changed since they worked perfectly.

Has anyone else experiences something similar with different models?
