I can't for the life of me figure out how to use my XDJ-RX as an audio interface to stream music from Soundcloud, Spotify etc. so that I can play it through my KRK Rokits.
I recently upgraded from a DDJ-SX where I had it set up to stream music online via USB and also work as an audio interface for Ableton. I've been so busy I havent even tried to set up Ableton with the XDJ-RX yet but would like to be able to stream music to listen to.
Im connected in MIDI via USB on the XDJ-RX, however I noticed in my sound setting it says 'The selected audio device has no output controls.
Running latest version OSX El Capitan.

You can easily configure the XDJ-RX to be the primary output from your computer, you just need to go into the audio settings and set it as the main output for system audio.

I would get a line output from ur Laptop or PC or Mac from the audio output - Probably a green mini Jack if its the onboard soundcard. And get a cable that comes from that output and plug it into one of the line inputs on the X DJ-RX - then come from master or booth on the uint to ur Rockit's - WHy are you using the midi if u have the X DJ-RX ? And not playing straight from the USB's ?
@Pulse As i mentioned when I tried that it says that the selected device has no output controls. This was how i used to do it on my DDJ-SX
@Paul Middleton - Of course if im having a mix I'm using USB's but I'm trying to stream music for listening using the USB cable. This was also how I did it using the DDJ-SX
Also guys I just tried setting it up with Ableton Live 9 and in preferences I have set the Audio output to the XDJ-RX within Ableton, however I'm not getting any Audio.
I forgot to mention also, that when I connect the XDJ-RX to the comupter via USB I can load tracks from Rekordbox DJ onto the XDJ-RX and play them without issue, but If i scroll through and load tracks on the mac using Rekordbox DJ and play them I get no audio.
@Pulse I tried following one of your videos but when I try to set up an aggregate device it is displayed in red instead of green
Nevermind, I sorted it out, didn't realize i had to "Load' whatever I was streaming onto one of the decks.
