Rekordbox Update and DJM450 Update fails

Hello.

 

I have updated to the latest rekord box, as the software requested.

 

I also updated the firmware on teh DJM450 (1.02 now).  Upon attempting to have a play with the gear, rekordbox requested i update the driver for DJM450.

 

I am constantly met with "Installation Failed. (002)"

 

What is causing this failure?  It has a code, where can I look at the code?

Update - I have it working now.

 

The error did not come from driver signing like many threads indicated (installation failed.(002) )  but rather, there was no driver file present to install.

 

I went to the pioneer site, downloaded the new driver and manually installed it.  that worked.  Why on earth I didnt think to do this before (because rekordbox appeared to be doing the installation that was required)

I have the same problem with DJM 900NXS2. Have tried to install it manually and still got the same issue.

Can you explain what you did? And what OS you are on? Without knowing what is happening on your side and what environment you are in, we potentially can't help you.

I am using:

  • Windows 7 PC with Rekordbox 5.4.0
  • 2 x XDJ-1000MK2 - FW 1.40 
  • DJM-900NXS2 - FW 2.05

All components are connected via a network switch with a usb cable connected between mixer and pc for recording purposes. The problems occurred when i tried to update the driver windows driver to 1.210. The installation begins and finishes with the message 'Installation failed (002)'. I have tried to download the driver and install it independently of Rekordbox but it has the same result.

Since i wrote this message i have had some success as i found a 1.200 on one of the forums and it has worked but what it does mean is that as new revs come out, i will likely be stuck on this revision as i know it works.

I don't know if this is relevant but there is another strange thing in that i am prompted to upgrade Rekordbox to 5.4.0. even though that is the version that i am running.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
