DDJ-RZ : Using OBS and distorted sound.

When using OBS or any other broadcasting software for facebook live I get distorted sound with my DDJ-RZ.  I know OBS is set up right as when I use my DDJ-SX its all fine.  Also when using a webcam and my DDJ-RZ I get distorion again.

Sorry, it's a 3rd party software and it's likely a configuration setting within causing the audio to double-up. You'll have to find support on their community site.

Are you perhaps sending it too hot of a signal? You can see the audio levels in the meters within the OBS software.

No i turned it down and its still the same.  It sounds like its echoing as well.  I have tried it with no web cam and its still the same.  I should also mention I'm not using Rekordbox (although I think that would be the same) I'm using turntables connected to the phono.

Are you certain you're using the correct output from rekordbox (ASIO) and that you don't have the webcam's audio enabled?

Yeah sure the webcams audio is disabled. And everything works fine when recording and streaming with BUTT.

Neither OBS nor BUTT support ASIO devices - how is it you're capturing the audio from the DDJ-RZ / rekordbox and porting it to OBS or BUTT?

Have you considered that the RZ output to your computer's line-input is possibly where the problem is occurring? This isn't a problem with the DDJ-RZ or rekordbox; you're now troubleshooting 3rd party software and your computer's hardware. Sorry!

And are you sure that's a line-input and not a mic-input? That would be an obvious reason it's distorting.

yeah i'm sure i'm using the line in.  It works fine with BUTT.

Each software application has its own "volume" settings for the inputs, so if it works just fine with one but not the other, that's a good place to start checking.

Yeah I've tried that m8.  The sounds not distorting like its too loud its echoing.  I have also tried using the Settings Utility and changing the 'Master Att' too -6dB and that doesn't work.
