DJM-900NXS2 - Setting Utility - Cannot select Output Channels

How do I get audio to Ableton PRE FADER like I was able with DJM 900 Nexus MK 1?

I would love someone to chime in on this ... 

I cannot select the line input to be routed into Ableton. Why is this?

@AAA BBB > Unfortunately the inputs > software are locked-out for non-certified applications, meaning only rekordbox, Traktor, and Serato DJ will allow the inputs to be passed to software.

Fortunately there is a bit of a hack -- the work-around for this restriction is that you must first open one of those applications (rekordbox must be in performance mode, Serato DJ may need to be registered, I'm not 100% certain as mine is and I haven't deactivated it to test). Once you have any of those applications running, open the settings utility and switch all the inputs:

Then, within Ableton, configure the in/out for the DJM-900NXS2:

Then configure your channel I/Os:

Don't forget to switch the channel monitoring to IN or it won't work.

That's it - you now have audio routed through Ableton! Just don't close your background application or the inputs disappear. ;) With nothing playing in it, the footprint should be pretty low for something like Serato DJ.

This was actually what I was bit afraid of. The input are crippled just to prfioritize their own protocol and to sell licenses to other software manufacturers. Well, I hope Ableton buys into it.

Not really ... it actually costs Pioneer DJ the money in order to get the hardware "certified" with those manufacturers.
