USB recording clipping XDJ RX

I am using XDJ RX and recording to USB, I have the master on complete green and really low 0db and below but it is still clipping at points.

 

I am using trim at 2/3 yellows could that be the reason why? When I was taught to DJ I was told 2/3 yellows is fine in master and channel, but may I assume that is for just playing to a crowd and not recording?

Here's the thing ... the recording doesn't care what the master level is; it's based on the channel levels. Make sure those aren't peaking above 0dB.

Brilliant thanks didnt know that, so if I turn the volume of the speakers and master up so the master is in a few yellows, i will get crisp sound out but my channel levels below 0db?
