Hi experts.
I bought a brand new DDJ-RZ yesterday and i'm facing problems because controller doesn't enter in demo mode.
I changed demo mode settings (utility mode) using all the possible configurations (jet, pitch and filter), but nothing happens.
I have updated firmware to version 1.09 and using last mac driver available.
Please, help!
YES! There was a DDJ-RZ firmware update released TODAY which addresses this exact complaint.
Sorry about that guys, I had no idea it was even in the pipeline as a known issue.
Please update the firmware and let me know if it works for you.

Same for me. I seen it can sometimes be a hardware fault, when a button send always many midi messages... Anyway, I have exactly the same problem. I will concider a RMA, since I think for me it come from an FX button who is screwed. Sometime this FX button is reflected in rekordbox, sometimes not... Maybe a bad weld.

Current configuration is JET button. Im leaving 1, 5 and even 10,, 20, 30 minutes in this configuration, but nothing happens in terms of demonstration.
I tried with the controller connected to rekordbox, disconnected from rekordbox and without any usb cable connected.
A couple of days ago, i spent whole day changing demo setting parameter to pitch and filter, waiting defined time for both, but none of them triggered the controller to demo mode.
Hope it doesn't belong to hardware issues. This controller is brand new.

I am having this same issue and would really like to get it sorted. I was using the demo mode in a short movie clip with the sx2 and am utterly disappointed this doesn't work. Has the issue been fixed yet? I can't figure it out.

@Chris > The engineers have responded that the software and hardware on the SX2 and RZ are very different, and thus the operation of the demo mode on the SX2 wouldn't be related to that of the RZ. Either your demo mode was disabled in the unit preferences, or there is a faulty hardware control preventing the unit from entering (or exiting) demo mode.
Yes!! Thank you Pioneer. I knew it was an issue your end not mine, I suffer technical problems with this controller all the time but his update fixed the particular issue. I didn't have a problem with the SX2 which I'd why I knew it was a hardware issue with the RZ
If you could fix the slicer now and make it respond properly, that'd be fab!! 😊

2023... still not fixed, years later. On SX2, upgraded to 1.06, same behavior, cannot get to Demo mode. Anyone found answers?... Thanks
