I own them and never have, Keep in mind on the nexus 2's if you hold the "call/delete" button it delete the cue you hit so maybe in the place you were playing the button was faulty and sticking

Nexus 2’s Deleting Hot Cues?
Has anyone experienced Nexus 2’s deleting hot cues or cues on the fly? I was spinning the other day on a pair and when I went to hit my cue points it would just start the track at the beginning. This doesn’t happen on my original nexus cdjs, I don't have any issues there. Gonna drive me crazy if I have this problem spinning on N2s

Easy. Hold the square button above ‘bank’ and then hit the hot cue button with a cue point assigned. Although a year on, I’m sure you’ve figured that out by now.
