Cant Import Itunes Playlists Into Rekordbox 5.0

Hi All,

Using rekordbox 5.0 for the first time - so go easy on me :)

When I go to import I get the following error message.

Itunes settings are correct I think from what I have read here - see below.

And settings in rekordbox are as follows.

Really got me stumped - help is greatly appreciated.

What does the log file from the first error message say?

OK here it is...

Not sure what this means, particularly "tracks not available in your country".

Using other software such as Traktor - never an issue ;)

I should also say Im running an ASUS VivoBook S15 S510UQ - I7 16GB Ram (Current Windows 10)

Also odd in RKB is that the Itunes playlists that do come up are older - like its pulling from an older version Itunes file or something. There are playlists in Itunes I deleted this week that are still showing when I link to Itunes in RKB.

Many thanks!

Ah - chances are you're having a problem with the artwork! Try removing it from just one of those tracks and re-import, see if that works. Beatport was notorious for this problem for some reason.

Right OK - how do I remove the artwork to get this happening?

You've already got the music in iTunes - open those tracks and view the info for the track, click the Artwork tab, click the art, press the delete key on your keyboard to remove the artwork.

OK an update here.

For whatever reason I cant import Itunes tracks from RKB due to the above for now.

However I just discovered I can open Itunes on my desktop create a new playlist in RKB and drag and drop directly from Itunes into RKB - easy!

Exporting to USB no problems at all.

Left this update in case anyone is having the same issues ;)

Yeah, that's a work-around which basically links the files from their locations and imports them to rekordbox - it doesn't maintain the same characteristics as if you did an iTunes import, but it works. Glad to see you got that sorted, I'm still not sure why the songs were getting rejected.

Yeah I have no idea what the problem is but the work-around is totally fine.

Obviously I would still like to know how to sort it long term...
